The Solar Electric Flight team will be using the latest combination in battery power, solar energy and paramotors to make the 2000km expedition. Lithium polymer batteries power the Electric Paramotor, giving the pilot an hours flying. Alongside the electric paramotor, pilots will also fly paramotors powered by bio-ethanol.

Electric Paramotor
The pilots will fly the world's first electric powered paramotor. It represents a significant breakthrough in electric technology, offering for the first time the opportunity to fly using an environmentally friendly power source.

Bioethanol Paramotor
The pilots will also fly the Volution Macro paramotor, designed specifically for long distance flying. Equipped with a 1.3 metre Scimitar carbon prop the Macro boasts an incredible 4 hour flight range from it's 14 litre fuel tank.
